I'm not usually the biggest fan of straight up dark chocolate, before I was vegan it was my favourite (that and twix bars!) but somehow after going vegan all I wanted was Go Max Jokerz or rice milk coverture bars. I've come back around to the wonders of dark chocolate recently and this is one of my favourites. This 70% cocoa bar is from the Co-operative supermarket and it's totally fair-trade and shiz.
It's pretty simple, just straight up dark choc but I like the size of the squares as well as the creamy texture of the chocolate. It also only costs around £1.60 which is at the cheaper end of the vegan chocolate spectrum.
Yum!
I collect Pez dispensers!
I'm always on the lookout for non-bitter dark chocolate, will give this a go!
ReplyDeleteAwesome, lemme know what you think!
DeleteHaven't tried that one, as I'm the same here, I mainly tend to crave rice milk choc (or truffles) but next time I'm craving dark chocolate I'll look for that one. That is an impressive array of Pez dispensers in the background! ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha, thank you! I've been collecting them for years & that's about half of them!
DeleteYour pez collection is amazing! I haven't seen those things for years but they bring back great memories.
ReplyDeleteI've also just realised that we don't have the coop in central London! I'm a dark dark chocolate girl through and through so 70% tastes pretty "milky" and sweet to me but I do love it every now and again.
What, really? That's so odd, I could have sworn I bought doughnuts from the co-op in central London a couple of years ago. Near Soho maybe! And thank you, that's about half of my collection!! It's a little out of control!
DeleteThey also do a dark one with hazelnut and a cranberry one too! So delicious!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I might try the hazelnut!
DeleteLoving the collection :) Yep, I'm a fan of the Co-Op dark choc too especially the hazelnut one.
ReplyDeleteThanks! As you're the second person to mention the hazelnut one I guess I'm going to have to try it!
DeleteWow that is cheap for such a delicious-looking bar of choc! Personally I like the UK brand Plamil's Coffee-flavoured vegan chocolate, and now that I'm back in the States I like Green and Black's Hazelnut and Currant dark chocolate bar. Oh dear it's not even 9am yet and I've already got a sweet tooth...

Oh I haven't tried that Plamil choc, my husband always gets the orange and I'm not a huge fan but I think I could get down with coffee.
DeletePez wall! I love that photo.
ReplyDeleteThanks panda <3
DeleteThe boyfriend loves dark chocolate and is picky. I like my dark chocolate with bits of something in it or covering peanut butter!
ReplyDeleteMmmm, PB covered is up there with my faves too. I love Justin's PB cups a lot!
DeleteI am the same way, in that I mostly want more sugary or fun chocolate instead of pure dark. But dark is really wonderful. I should try this. Also I said 'shiz' in my post today too and I didn't know where that came from, and now I'm seeing it in yours and so we are just on the same wavelength :)
ReplyDeleteHigh five friend!
DeleteYum! Are those Pez dispensers seriously all yours!? Awesome!!!! I love how they are arranged by color!
ReplyDeleteHaha, yup! And that's only about half of my collection! I thought colour would be a fun way to arrange them and I'm glad I tried it because I really like it too!
Deletethat looks like good chocolate! 70-75% is my favorite zone for dark chocolate. Also, I really try to get fair trade chocolate, since chocolate really is a luxury.
ReplyDeleteDark chocolate has always been my favourite, I find the GMG and rice milk chocolates too sweet for me. I get a 90% dark chocolate sometimes which is my favourite. So good.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, 90%'s hardcore!
