Saturday Snoozeday: Rushing off to a wedding edition

The whole plan behind Saturday Snoozeday is to post pictures of epic breakfasts, lazy breakfasts in bed, amazing breakfasts even. Sadly today there were no such breakfasts because today Nick & I are heading to a wedding at The Barbican in London. I'm actually posting this from the train using the blogger app on my phone. It's the first time I've used it so if it sucks, sorry!

I spent the morning trying to remember how to put on make up, painting my nails and practicing walking in heels so there wasn't much time for eating. On the plus side I look faaancy!

managed to squeeze in a slice of my favourite toast, white sourdough from Infinity Foods bakery slathered in Vitalite.

I am bulking up this unsubstantial brekkie with an Iced & Spiced bun from M&S purchased at the station which I intend to devour as soon as I finish writing!

I hope everyone's had an awesome first week of MoFo, I know I've been loving reading your posts.

PS - Keep your fingers crossed for vegan wedding food!

  1. What a lovely Saturday post and wedding in London?! The dress looks lovely and I like your new pink hair. I stayed in today, the weather looked overcast, maybe I will walk with my partner to Carrefour and check out some paella pans to bring back (Carrefour is about 40 minutes walk, round trip, probably 1 1/2 hours with some stops). I love Vitalife on a toast, so good, I think I had it in the UK or Austria (I'm not sure which). I look forward to checking our your vegan wedding photos! We once had a vegan dinner for a family wedding - it was portobello served with vegetables and potato mash.

    1. We got great vegan wedding food! The buns are so handy because they always seem to be on sale at the M&S's at airports and train stations.

  7. You look lovely! I'm always running late for events and appointments so I hardly ever have time to eat when it comes to such things. That spiced bun looks like it should hit the spot.

  8. Fancy schmancy! Love your orange dress :) An iced bun with fruit in it? Yum. I'm always disappointed with the plain ones which are basically a bread roll with icing on...
Hope you had a great time.

  11. I love your outfit! I hope the wedding food was good. We were at a wedding two weeks ago and even some canopies were vegan, they had carrot sticks and houmous. I had stuffed pepper for my lunch too, hope yours is as good.

I hate the Barbican! I always get super lost and frustrated trying to find the right entrance & exit. Do you have it mastered, bc I need tips to avoid anxiety attacks.

    1. Uch, dude, I have no idea. It took about 20 minutes just to find the cloakroom and then we could hardly find our way back. My tip is, avoid the Barbican! Helpful right?!
