Thank you for being so open and honest about your travel adventures, this post was particularly moving.

Do you get accustomed to the heat as the time goes by? I spent three weeks in each of Thailand and Brazil and that certainly wasn't enough to get really used to it.
Babettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07019175654217050763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4572519749749123334.post-28259182639415564902016-01-06T17:11:29.038+00:002016-01-06T17:11:29.038+00:00Could you tell me what shop sold the clif bars?!Could you tell me what shop sold the clif bars?!Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14086558269772830251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4572519749749123334.post-8461657163163852632016-01-01T21:38:39.188+00:002016-01-01T21:38:39.188+00:00I love that you shared this! Thanks for being so ...I love that you shared this! Thanks for being so honest about the fact that even the dream of traveling the world with your beloved partner isn't always a walk in the park! And hurrah for you and Nick being able to work together to make a new plan happen in such short time. That's how you know you have a great partner and travel companion! I've been focussing my energies on writing, reading, learning Japanese and working out (as well as eating!) and I guess I'm kinda living here like I would at home. It's totally fulfilling my homebody side and I think it'll leave me refreshed and ready for my next adventure. vegan.in.brightonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08022017381983993283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4572519749749123334.post-26641533716584812652015-12-29T01:18:20.847+00:002015-12-29T01:18:20.847+00:00I am so behind in my comments on your blog, which ...I am so behind in my comments on your blog, which is funny because I always read your posts as soon as you post them. I really can resonate with so many of the feelings and thoughts you shared in this post. I have reached this travel burnout point many times in my various travels. The thing that usually wears me out is seeing the neglected street animals. I actually cancelled my last planned trip to India because I just didn't have the emotional stamina to deal with that. It was soon after my dad had been sick and I was not up for it.

I love that you were both on the same page though, and that it was a discussion you could share - how fortunate and harmonious that you were really in it together. Also, I love that you sat down together to figure out how you could "stay in love with traveling," rather than just giving up. Obviously I love to travel, but I am also such a homebody (ha ha five pets, etc etc), I'm really impressed that you can maintain a sense of center and self across so constant relocation.

I'm so glad you had a warm and cozy christmas, and I loved the IG pics of your celebration and your specially shopped out xmas feast. So sweet.

I'm really looking forward to following your Taiwan travels. That's a part of the world that I really don't know anything about. <3 Ameyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00291071425858947632noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4572519749749123334.post-21684964675919493102015-12-28T09:17:42.720+00:002015-12-28T09:17:42.720+00:00Thanks Joey! I LOVED the food and temples in Siem Reap but between the heat, dust, poverty, and feeling we were viewed as walking talking wallets, I couldn't wait to get out of the country. We wound up leaving for our next destination early too.

I wish we had known of the bike tour while we were there!
